Happy Holidays everyone-- this year the shop is doing something different around the Christmas and New Years holidays. We will be closing the shop from Christmas Eve after noon and taking the week between Christmas and New Year off. Everyone at the shop will be visiting family, riding bikes, and just generally chilling out. We know that this will cause some inconvenience and for that we apologize. We will return to the shop with regular hours Friday January 2nd. Thanks for everyone's support in 2014, we really appreciate everything that you've done for the shop and look forward to an even better 2015! See you next year-- Chris, Tyler, Kinzer and Em The shop will be closed the following days--
December 24th -- 11am-1pm December 25th -- Closed December 26th -- Closed December 27th -- Closed December 28th -- Closed December 29th -- Closed December 30th -- Closed December 31st -- Closed January 1st -- Closed
We are really excited to announce that we now have the full 2015 Salsa Cycles mountain bike line-up in the shop! Check out the bikes that we've got in the shop and ready for you to rip some trails on! The dreaded Bucksaw -- 4" tires and 100mm of suspension travel front and rear is a guaranteed way to put a smile on your face no matter what the trail ahead of you has in store. Remember, fat bikes are no longer solely for snow! The Bucksaw starts at 4000.00
We have both Carbon and Aluminium versions of the venerable Horsethief in the shop for you to check out. The Horsethief has 130mm of travel up front and 120mm of travel out back. This is hands down my favorite bike, so much so that I flew it out to Iceland for two weeks of back country trails and couldn't have asked for a better platform. You will enjoy pointing this bike uphill as much as going down-- it simply rips! The Horsethief starts at 3400.00
If blazing singletrack or if you've got some cross-country racing in your future check out the Carbon and Aluminum Spearfish. This bike is simply fast. With 100mm of travel up front and 80mm of travel out back it will soak up root littered trails in the Southeast and keep you comfortable and pedaling efficiently all day long. Don't forget that with a few bags added this can also be your North Georgia singletrack touring bike-- be it for a weekend overnighter or an extended off road tour. The Spearfish starts at 2800.00
The El Mariachi for 2015 gained a few colors and didn't loose a bit of versatility. The El Mariachi is the Jack of all trades. Singletrack? Check. Bikepacking? Check. Want it to be a singlespeed? Check. Want to get rad and not break the bank? Check. If barreling down ribbons of dirt is what you want to do without the full of a full suspension rig look no further. The El Mariachi starts at 1500.00.
In addition to all these great mountain bikes we also have all of the version of the Salsa Fargo so if drop bar riding is your thing we've got you covered too.
Wednesday 26 November -- 11am to 5pm Thursday 27 November -- CLOSED Friday 28 November -- CLOSED Saturday 29 November -- 11am to 5pm Sunday 30 November -- 11am to 3pm
Thanks and have a great Thanksgiving
As part of Salsa's plan for global domination in 2015 they are doing a demo tour and we've wrangled them into making a stop in Georgia. Salsa will be bringing a full demo fleet including their new carbon Horsethief and Spearfish, the sick full suspension fat bike the Bucksaw, and many more dirt offerings. So as most off y'all have seen, or maybe no one has, (I wouldn't know because I don't know how to check the sites analytics) our website has been pretty slow on the updates. Well, truth be told we've been really busy lately. Between building an awesome Icarus frame for a great customer
posing in front of this sick Low Rider we built up for Colt 45 (rumor has it that this is the Snoop Dog pro model)
riding our bikes in Florida for a really long time
and welcoming Rhys May Jewelery into the tree fort
we've been slacking on the website upkeep. Excuse us for that. Now, back to working on bikes.
We will be closed April 24th to go riding with the Salsa Cycles guys at Blankets Creek. We are going to be testing out the new models and be getting better aquatinted with their mountain bikes so that we can better help you. If you want to join us in the fun meet us at the Blankets Creek parking lot between 11:30 and 12:00 tomorrow! Sorry for the inconvenience and see ya on Friday--
Come out and shred!
The shop will be CLOSED for an epically awesome 300 mile race down in Central Florida. You can track our progress on Trackleaders if you so desire-- just don't look for us at the front. Below are the days that the shop will be closed. Friday March 14th -- CLOSED Saturday March 15th -- CLOSED Sunday March 16th -- CLOSED Monday March 17th -- Always CLOSED Tuesday March 18th -- Hopefully OPEN Wednesday March 19th -- Definitely OPEN
