Kid Haulin’ Big Dummy!

We just built this Big Dummy up for a long-time customer. It was built up with the express purpose of hauling kids around safely and comfortably– as well as replacing the family minivan. The build started with a complete Big Dummy from Surly then we upgraded the P-racks from Xtracycle with their heavy duty versions to better handle the load of two kids and their bikes. Over all the build finished nicely with a Yepp PeaPod III kids seat– it is easily the most elegant design of a child’s seat I’ve seen in a while.

As a whole, bike builds like this are what get us really excited. The movement towards families commuting by bike is still new in Atlanta, but when we build a bike like this we realize that there is a real shift happening in our city now! It is awesome!

Happy Holidays everyone. We will have altered hours for the Holiday season– here they are.

Monday 24th December — 11:00am to 1:00pm (Last minute gifts and pick-ups)
Tuesday 25th December — CLOSED
Wednesday 26th December — CLOSED
Thursday 27th December — 11:00am to 4:00pm
Friday 28th December — 11:00am to 4:00pm
Saturday 29th December — 11am to 5:00pm
Sunday 30th December — CLOSED
Monday 31st December — CLOSED
Tuesday 1st January — CLOSED
Wednesday 2nd January — 11:00am to 7:00pm

There is some chance that the hours posted will change slightly so please call the shop before coming by. If we answer we are open.

4th Annual Alley Cross Race

It’s cyclocross season and with the Georgia Cross Series wrapped up and the Rome series and Worlds around the corner. We’re hosting the fourth annual Alley Cross Race here at LNC presented by No Hipster Left Behind and Kyle setting another great course.

If you’ve raced before, expect more of the same great mix of city streets and unpaved back roads, and if you haven’t be sure to come out and see what all the hype is about. Either way come out to race, compete, drink a beer (we’ll have a keg on hand for those that have a thirst) and hang out here at the shop. It’ll be a party.

It’s $5 to race which goes into a cash pot to be divvied out to the top racers. The race starts at noon on January 12th but be sure to get here early to talk shop and stock up on race supplies.
